Experience the ethereal elegance of Archeons’ “Ballet Afterlife”

424

The latest release of Archeons, namely “Ballet Afterlife,” is a great and wide blend of influences ranging from Djent/metalcore elements, to rock from the 2000s era, and finally, daringly exploring other songwritings inside of a major key, keeping the whole song heavy and dark. By stripping back the instrumental side, the band allows the vocals to take center stage while still incorporating their signature dueling guitars in the solo section.

By collaborating with producer Casey Sabol, they developed lyrics attached to Danse Macabre, telling a dark story of selling the soul to bring back the lost love. But the question is about the true value of death.

Archeons

The song consists of breathtaking lyrics about love which is beyond the scope of life and everyone may pass away. It is the tale of a man turned into a shadow of himself by the heartbreaking loss of his true love, and who brokers a deal with the devil for one night per year to have her back. The celestial crescendos in which they lose themselves render their love and their bond both desirable and tormenting, as they may be torn apart in the morning, but still anticipating tomorrow’s meeting.

Its thick and hearty electric guitar riffs, enduring and hypnotic drum, and percussion line create the melody and make it a fascinating sonic journey. It gives ever happening feelings of love, heart break and so on to the listeners as a whole, engaging one into the rich emotions through the melodies and expression.
