São Paulo artist Child of SP has released an amazing new music video for his introspective track, “Out The Mud. ” The music video was animated with photorealism concepts in 3D and brings a stunning feel to the song which focuses on the themes of growth, hard times, and getting out of the mud to become better musicians.
This song is a slow tune characterized by hip-hop and RnB elements. Overall benevolently groovy instrumentation evoking positive feelings, over which he sets the groundwork for a deep message about his life and the process of coming to terms with the concept of betrayal. These include the storyline where he sings about enduring problems and his achievements in the present times.
The music video enriches the meaning of the song. Child of SP is presented as a doll who faces all the daily concerns that make us all fragile. Emotions such as sorrow, fear, and anxiety expressed in the song can easily be appreciated from the dark colors used and most of the backgrounds are shrouded in shadows. The fears that he possessed are metaphorically taken away from him by a higher power, represented by a disembodied hand, where the hand picked him up and touched him; cleared a wound at his back which depicts the challenges he was facing.
There is also an important visual part of the video—there is a book with the title “God’s Plan” which shows Child SP ‘s belief that it is God who brought him this far, thus God had plans for him.
Child of SP starts the track with contemplating on his way from a rags to riches and feeling very grateful for that. Lyrically, there is a sense of awe at his new lifestyle, especially on such lyrics as “I love the view from this penthouse / I wish this life would last forever, baby, Finally made it, I don’t know how / Probably ‘cause I was persistent maybe”.
The narrative is focused on the challenges that Child of SP has faced and has made a point to note that regardless of the challenges that one may meet, they are supposed to keep pushing and believe in themselves.
The music video for “Out The Mud” not only complements the song’s lyrics but also offers a visually appealing, and in many cases emotionally moving, addition to the experience.
In “Out The Mud” Child of SP you will find yourself in front of an anthem of triumph in which rap and story mix together perfect alchemy, the music video is also a work of art which tells a personal experience.
