Experience Lizzie Thomas’s Anthem of Unity in New Single “Community”

204

NYC singer/songwriter/pianist Lizzie Thomas unveils her powerful new single “Community,” an anthem calling for unity, hope, and peace. Released with an inspiring music video, “Community” represents a fresh direction for Thomas, moving beyond the timeless jazz standards of her previous five albums into a rich fusion of spiritual, soul, folk, and jazz.

With lyrics like “You and me, community, don’t forget that we are free,” Thomas captures a spirit of resilience and togetherness. The song, recorded at NYC’s famed Powerstation studio, features her talented band with John Di Martino on piano, Kevin Sibley on Hammond Organ, Dan Wilson on guitar, Dezron Douglas on bass, Neal Smith on drums, and the Voices of the Flame choir.

The accompanying video showcases vibrant New York City scenes, including the historic AME Mother Zion Church, a powerful symbol of freedom and resilience. “Community” marks the first release from Thomas’s upcoming album “Awakening,” set for March 2025, and is a stirring prelude to her holiday EP coming in November.

Join Lizzie Thomas in celebrating unity — discover “Community” and be part of the movement for togetherness and hope.
