Gianpaolo Gallian has made available “Groovalicious,” a song from his second solo album, “Easy Jams for Drum Set.”
Gianpoalo, a well-known drummer, songwriter, and music producer overall, displayed his talents from all sides of this song, producing energetic and wonderful sounds.
The instrumental music incorporates jazz-funk, Latin fusion, and the works of performers like Chick Corea and Dave Weckl. The piano takes center stage, backed by a strong rhythm section that includes bass and Gianpaolo’s live studio drums.
The album includes eight original songs and other versions sans drums for drummers to play along with at home or in the studio, going beyond simply presenting drums.
Following the idea of “edutainment” from Gianpaolo’s earlier book, “Easy Tunes for Drum Set (With Play-Alongs),” it is both fun and instructional.
Gainpaolo, an Italian native, dedicated eight years of his time to studying classical percussion instruments before switching to private drum studies. He attended numerous drum seminars and events across the nation, which helped him deepen his understanding of drum playing and sharpen his musical life.
