Greg Travis Has Finally Released ‘Lost You At Goodbye’

534

Greg Travis was always destined to be a country singer. From his early days performing in small Texas clubs to his acclaimed stint as frontman for Travis-Murray, his powerful voice has always commanded attention. Now branching out as a solo artist, he is releasing the most compelling music of his career, while establishing himself as one of modern country’s most promising artists.

Greg was born near Ft. Benning in Columbus, Georgia. His father served in the military, meaning Greg spent his childhood traveling across the country, encountering the people and places that would later inspire his best songs. He went on to study Vocal Performance at the University of Southern Mississippi before founding Travis-Murray in the early 2000’s. The group garnered critical acclaim and performed with national figures including Blake Shelton. And although Greg stepped away from the band to focus his energy on fatherhood, music was never far from his mind.

Now a little older, Greg’s latest songs reflect the skillful wisdom of a well-lived life. His meditations on love, loss, and heartache are both thought-provoking and deeply relatable. As a country music lifer, Greg’s devotion to his craft can be heard in every word he sings. With a steady stream of releases and performances scheduled for this year and beyond, he shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

‘Lost You at Goodbye’ is tear-in-my-beer country storytelling at its best. Greg reflects on the ways a simple lie can spiral out of control, leading to the end of a once-blissful relationship. The modern Americana production is a perfect accompaniment, with a blistering telecaster solo giving the song its emotional crescendo. This all-too-relatable story of regret and resilience is perfect for any guitar driven, country/pop/rock playlist.
