KAVOS Releases debut album, ‘Pirates of Piraeus’

918

KAVOS is Greek-jazz fusion group based in Canberra, Australia. KAVOS was born in 2023 as a result of Constantine Campbell’s doctoral studies
focussing on the fusion of jazz with Greek
rebetika music. Being half-Greek, Campbell
has a desire to explore his ethnic heritage by
connecting Greek music with his first love
of jazz. KAVOS’ debut album, Pirates of
Piraeus, consists of original music inspired
by the rhythms, melodies, and spirit of Greek rebetika music.

Campbell (saxophones and vocals) is joined by elite Canberra musicians Lachlan Coventry (bouzouki), Llewellyn Osbourne
(violin, keyboard), Christopher Pound
(double bass), and Nick McBride (drums).

The album is available on all streaming
platforms, which can be accessed via
kavos.hearnow.com.
