Following her rise in the music scene, 23-year-old singer/songwriter Lizzy from the Netherlands
has once again captivated audiences with her latest release, “Same Woman”. Released on April 12th, the track is a compelling fusion of Lizzy’s angelic vocal tone, smooth beats, sensational production, and lush harmonies, promising listeners an unforgettable musical experience.
Lizzy’s musical journey is a testament to her unwavering passion and dedication. Hailing from a small village, Lizzy’s ambitions transcend geographical boundaries, as showcased in her debut
single “Coming ‘N Going” released during the lockdown in 2020. Since then, Lizzy has soared to new heights, releasing 22 tracks, crafting an album with a short film supported by the Performing Arts Fund, and earning accolades as one of the talents of House of Knowledge.
With songs like “Packing Light”, “Solar Eclipse”, and “A Man Like You”, all surpassing 1M streams on Spotify, Lizzy has managed to establish herself as a notable presence in the music industry. Collaborating with acclaimed producer Mitchell Yard, winner of the Sublime Award for Best Producer in 2022, Lizzy brings “Same Woman” to life with a blend of R&B, neo-soul and jazz, infused with the warmth of real instruments. The song had been in the vault for a time. The Rhodes/keys parts were already there and the vocals mostly but it took Yard another year to really get the bass and drums in a good place.
