Sandio Redefines Drum and Bass with Vision and Versatility Through “Forever”

217

Sandio, an Austrian musician, has a great musical resume. He gained his musical education in the equivalent of a gymnasium and he has been playing the piano since he was 6 years old. His newest piece, “Forever,” was sampled from a vocal that a friend played for him. After finding it to be dope, he put the instrumental together in like no time.

Sandio’s inspiration comes from different artists such as Fox Stevenson, Mefjus, and Camo&Krooked who all have influenced his music greatly. Similarly, his background manifests itself in artists that he looks up to with some of those names being old school DJ Marky, TC1, and Stress Level Records.

Shackles of the Sound, the latest release by Sandio, didn’t stick to a specific subgenre in Drum and Bass and that’s probably what makes him unique compared to the ones that come up in this genre. He fluctuates with different sets of compositions, comes up with couple of styles ranging from neurofunk to liquid but not stopping at one sound. Thus, he can perform many style of music and do not to fret about uninspiring.

Sandio-Forever

Though he has his own most productive music plans in the future, Sandio would like to cooperate with an artist whose works especially inspire him, such as Fourward, Screamarts, Mefjus or Camo&Krooked. Collaboration is for him a source of new knowledge and inspiration as a musician, and he is full of curiosity about the possibility of joint work with the same highly motivated people.

As for future, Sandio wants to make each song a story that can provoke a multitude of feelings in his listeners. These words show that he thinks music is about the emotions. He tries to reach this emotion with his work. The feelings one experiences will not only affect them but also the listeners as well whether they are joy, sadness, excitement or nostalgia. Sandio wishes his music get a strong emotional fulfillment from his clients. He has the dedication and the fire-in-the-belly which is, without doubt, essential to carve a significant niche in the Drum and Bass genre.
