317

Being in such a tight corner of not being oneself and acting to be something else could be uncomfortable and disturbing to one’s inner peace and happiness, “Breaking Free” by Rebecca Sichon is here to uplift the souls of anyone who is entangled with her soulful R&B song named “Breaking Free.”

Rebecca talks about loving ourselves and freeing from both inner and exterior limitations, thus breaking free from entanglement of fear that lives within us or situations that put us in relationships that do not allow us to be ourselves. She enlightens listeners on the need to move out of their self-incarceration and be free.

Rebecca co-wrote the track with Juno-nominated singer/songwriter Mathew V and 604’s resident producer/songwriter Jared Manierka as a part of 604 Record’s Songwriting Camp, and they wrote from personal experiences, and you could feel that from Rebecca’s performance .

Also, the vocal delivery by singer Rebecca is one that cannot be ignored or not talked about by any person who will listen to the song. The vocal range is incredible, and her pitch is so magnificent. Her style of singing also made the melodies in the song sound even better. Her voice is so clear and smooth on the beats, and she kept on drawing my attention to listen to more rounds of the song as I played it the first time.

The instrumentation is another thing to highlight, as it was made of guitar progression, piano chords, and an excellent drum pattern that forms the R&B soul kind of rhythm that is needed for the song.
The mixing and mastering also worked well on the song, as both vocals and instrumentals sound on point.
“Being Free” is a song that will enlighten every listeners about being happy about themselves and feeling free to do what they desire without being restricted by anybody or anything. As the hook in the song sings, “Just let me go, just let me be.”

“Breaking Free” preaches freedom and self-love that everyone needs to have. Stream on Spotify below.
