Roscoe Crawley has just released the acoustic live version of his song titled “Great Hope.” He shares that the inspiration for this song came during a prayer meeting with friends in early 2023, where they prayed for a revival among students. The theme of hope in Jesus struck a chord with him and continued to grow in his heart in the following days and weeks. Wanting to capture this prayer, Roscoe took a retreat day in a log cabin during winter and prayed through the song. Melodies flowed, and he felt that “Great Hope” should take on the style of a hymn.
Roscoe’s dream was to create a song that could be sung in various church settings, from intimate worship evenings to larger gatherings. “Great Hope” serves as a prayer for those who are lost to find freedom in Jesus, and he hopes that listeners will encounter God’s love through the song.
The live acoustic version of “Great Hope” is a call to the younger generation to awaken to the hope found in Jesus. It also serves as a prayer for Christians to follow the call of Jesus on their lives. With its heartfelt lyrics and acoustic arrangement, the song invites listeners to reflect on their faith and embrace the hope that comes from knowing Jesus.
