Patti Spadaro Empowers Women with her New Single “Glass Shatters”

416

Patti Spadaro Band has just inaugurated a new song called “Glass Shatters”. This song is an anthem of power and independence and it was inspired by the inauguration of the first female Vice President in the United States of America. Patti Spadaro, an energetic guitarist, singer, and song writer was felt by this historical event and she wished to compose a song that would aid in promoting women’s achievement.

Glass Shatters commenced in the winter the 2020–2021 as Spadaro was compelled from the swearing-in rite. Often, she felt the intersectionality, the representation, and the progression that other women of colour wanted, and she wished to infuse that feeling into her music. The song Interpreted as a rally cry as it calls women to get up and not to stop until changes occur in the future.

This track is built from five women’s vocals with the addition of acoustic guitar by Spadaro, keys by Anne Celedonia, and backups by Cherylann Hawk, Jill Simmons, and Alison McTavish. Eric Kurtzrock, the drummer and a recording engineer, as well as Ryan Black on bass and vocals also perform on the song.

The song kicks off with complex electric guitar notes and bends and gradually from beats to cymbals. This is where the vocal prowess of Spadaro comes into play; rich soulful and vibrant voice enchants as listeners sees the beauty that comes with change that had long overdue. But the most expressive fragments which describe the mood of the song are the lines like ‘Glass shatters, clear the way’ which means that the existing barriers are to be destroyed to make space for the new and unknown. With an easily singable tune on chorus and rather inspiring rhymes on the verses, the tune for “Glass Shatters” is memorable and inspiring.

Spadaro showcases her playing quite prominently, which is present in numerous shredding solos throughout the song, ranging from psychedelic to southern-rock and pop/rock musical genres. The harmonious backing vocal of Spadaro and the backup singers give a notion of togetherness and confidence. Anne Celedonia’s keys provide an extra musical component to the tracks and harmonize with Spadaro’s passionate guitar lines.

Almost immediately with the first notes from the guitar of Spadaro, “Glass Shatters” conveys a topical groove of a song that still makes one feel steady on the ground yet empowered like a soaring bird. The commanding riff introduced here is in most part a nod to the good old rock and roll, yet is as modern and vibrant as it can get. This song is focused on the progress and a wakeup call to women with regards to the power that they possess.
