Tavo Man Abuti, a talented Garifuna artist originally from Limón, Colón in Honduras, has released a poignant new single titled “Carlos Colera.” In this song, he sung in the Garifuna language and he pays tribute to Carlos Colera, one of the pioneering urban music singers in Tavo Man’s homeland who tragically lost his life to crime in the 1990s. Despite his untimely death, Carlos Colera’s legacy continues to inspire new talents, and “Carlos Colera” is Tavo Man’s heartfelt homage to this influential figure.

He blended popular genres of Dancehall and Afrobeat which are widely celebrated in Latin America and the Caribbean. The song showcases Tavo Man’s deep respect and admiration for Carlos Colera. Gustavo Castillo, better known as Tavo Man or Abuti, is a multi-talented Garifuna artist who currently resides in the United States. His artistic journey began in his youth with a passion for painting and drawing, winning school competitions and later transitioning into music during his adolescence.

Tavo Man’s evolution as an artist led him to establish his own brand, G.A Prod Music – Gartnation, where he not only produces his music but also directs his music videos. His commitment to the arts is evident in his extensive musical and pictorial repertoire, with well-known songs like “No Me Hables de Amor,” “Bouguabei,” “Gudemei,” and “Diseba,” many of which are performed in his native Garifuna language.
