Shannon K and Kumar Sanu Join Forces on new track: “9 to 5”

Shannon K and her father, the legendary Bollywood playback singer, Kumar Sanu join forces once again on the new upbeat track “9 to 5”. The song is written and composed by Annabelle Kumaar and arranged by Luigie “Lugo” Gonzalez (a GRAMMY Nominated producer). “9 to 5” merges Bollywood, Hollywood, and the Latin music world to essentially send out a very important message to the working man; You are not alone.

While the up-beat song will lift the listeners’ spirits, the song is also a statement that reaches out to those stuck in the loop of a 9Mto 5 job and in the same every-day routines, encouraging and inspiring them to break away from the predetermined paths in their lives and find themselves and explore their passions. The song asks society, “Will you let me live the life I want to live?

Free me, from the sins that you commit” referring to the effects of big corporations on society, the environment, and the mental healths of people and how the common man is expected to work their lives away to sustain the economy and make adjustments to their lives to save the planet, while the ones in control pull the strings. Shannon and her father had collaborated on their first duet, “Magical”, 7 years ago. Check out their latest social project, “9 to 5”
