“Forget” Your Worries and Move to the Dancefloor with Contra’s new Danceable tune

249

Forget is a new single by Contra, and it takes you into the world of electronic music and into the idea of how sound can take us away from reality. This track has really focused on exploration of the concept of escape and how music can stand as refuge from the monotonous world. Using the drum and bass of the era fused with current rave music, Contra composes a song that pays tribute to the 90’s hits while being a whole new song experience.

Forget impresses with its captivating melodies and an exciting structure of the track full of energy and expressing various states of mind. The basslines of the song are active from the beginning strongly grabbing the listener’s attention and making one want to dance. The bass, and the drum work come together perfectly to give a dance lovers’ rhythm that leaves you with no option but to dance. But there is something more than a pulse in the track; the song’s progression leads to heads-nodding verses, ethereal-background, and minimalistic percussive bass that include additional euphonic space-vocalists.

With time, Forget is a perfect example of how Contra is capable of moving the music between two different generations and different subgenres of electronic sound. This, combined with the alternation between a powerful bass and fully-chorded notes with vocal additions, can be attributed to both, the reminiscence of disco-funk and new inventions. The mix of intense rhythms and contemplative episodes creates the most exciting playlist to listen to, and nobody can argue with the belief that music helps one forget at least part of their troubles.
