Karl Legris, a musician who mainly shares piano covers under the name ZephyrMusic, released a composition and several covers in the summer of 2022, including “The Roost”. ZephyrMusic being a fan in his childhood and still today of Animal Crossing games and Nintendo games in general, it seemed obvious to him to make a cover of the very popular simulation video game.
The musician then reworked music created by one of Nintendo’s most recurring composers, Kazumi Totaka. ZephyrMusic’s cover of “The Roost” presents a beautiful soundscape through its delicate piano chords and warm,
resonant notes. The music is harmonious and provides absolute calm, the gentle piano work creates a serene and thoughtful atmosphere, allowing the music to speak loudly without the need for words. Animal Crossing fans
who close their eyes will undoubtedly remember the times spent at The Roost drinking their coffee. Shortly after the release of his music, Legris joined the Henri Warembourg Faculty of Medicine at the University of Lille after obtaining his scientific baccalaureate at the Jesse de Forest high school. Because although the musician remains active on social networks, no new music has been released and no announcements have been made since. We know that today the musician is working on his very first album which will be called
“Love n Covers”, as the title indicates the album would be composed of piano covers on the theme of love and
romance. ZephyrMusic spent a lot of time in his childhood with his grandparents Annie-Claude and JeanJacques, he dedicates his first album to his grandfather Jean-Jacques whom he lost to COVID-19. All that remains is to wait until 2025 to discover his first album which will contain 14 to 15 covers.
