Joe Sensible Releases New Single “Window World,” A Reflective Take on Modern Life

168

Joe Sensible has recently released “Window World” as the second single from his much-awaited second album. The song is rightly a unique musically-scaled composition comprised of sounds from an isolated combination of acoustic and Orchestral elements, which distinguishes it from many of today’s songs.

”Window World” was penned by Joe standing at the window on a top floor of his building; it is a blend of both loneliness and detachment from society, as well as the jumbled society. He discusses how people tend to be unaware of what is really going on around them while the world is seen as an alien place.

Musically, it starts rather slowly, with Joe returning back to his trade mark intertwining vocals and guitar establishing a melodic background for the album. This is in addition to the accompaniment by string quartet and church organ, which I felt give the music a very reflective feel. All these orchestral aspects harmonically integrate with the more conventional instruments to create rich and dense texture.

Although the idea behind “Window World” seems quite calm and unassuming at first sight, the logo is quite empowering. It is the introspective lyrics in which Joe challenges or encourages people to look at their everyday existence and social relationships. His wordplay is great, and added the almost otherworldly musical arrangement, leads to a very introspective reflection upon the societ’s detachment.

This piece has excellent work put into the production quality, attention to detail on notes and chords is superb. Mastering of the song was done by a Latin Grammy Award-winning mastering engineer to ensure the many layers of sound are perfect. Subtle strings and violin, which is held by the delicate tremble creating dramatism of the strings section infuses so sentimental and cinematic feel. It’s a track that just cuddles the listener like a blanket on rainy Sunday morning.

It gives the listeners an almost peep into his life and depicts to the audience an idea of how they should change the way they look at things.
