Ginko Bugs Releases Heartfelt New Single “Close In October”

52

Swedish band Ginko Bugs offer an exciting and personal message with their brand new track “Close In October”. It is all about the experience of attempting to revive a relationship that one partner wants to end. They try for reunion and establish the lingering dual arch of longing and separation, out of which one dreams the other might come home again, while they become increasingly reconciled to the loss.

This song is introduced by light-pitched guitar strings which establish a kind of warmth can be perceived. This simplicity is in keeping with the theme of autumn, especially October when all sorts of things are coming to a close, but with a sort of grace. It is as if, in October of each year, the world comes up with this last line of defense, the last stand before certain change occurs.

The lyrics on this track do build with feelings as the song goes on. Accompany comes strings and drums and the text is devoted to love, loss, memories. All these combined instruments serve to create that feeling as if one is watching a movie being played out in front of one.

“Close In October” is definitely not only a song, but an insight into how hard it is to move on. Ginko Bugs provides excellent examples of ‘80s rock music infused with today’s sound and the entire disc feels both historical and intimate. This song should be close to the heart of anyone who ever cherished a love that they were waiting to be faithful again in spite of all odds. But such raw emotions mentioned above prove the fact that this band is very good at telling a story and coming up with very touching songs.
