Lo-Flo Records Presents “All of You” Featuring Prolific Songwriter Jane McNealy and Legendary Jazz Musician Harold Battiste, Jr.

Lo-Flo Records has just released “All of You”, a beautifully crafted jazz track featuring the renowned Harold Battiste, Jr. Written and produced by the prolific composer Jane McNealy, the song originates from her extensive archive of music dating back to the late 1960s. “All of You” was composed in 1979, a period when McNealy’s songwriting had reached new creative depths, influenced by her background in jazz, R&B, and musical theater.

The track was born out of a unique recording project where McNealy collaborated with Battiste. Though initially composed for a client who was not a professional singer, Battiste was captivated by “All of You”, and he felt a strong connection to the piece. Known for his saxophone mastery, he spontaneously added his sax as the lead melody, infusing the song with a soulful, melodic layer that gives it a distinctive sound.

McNealy fondly recalls this collaboration and how Battiste, whom she describes as a “frustrated singer,” poured his creativity into the song. His saxophone melody brings the song to life, and his passion shines through every note. With this release, Lo-Flo Records continues to honor the legacy of jazz by sharing hidden gems from the archives, preserving the timeless artistry of McNealy and Battiste for today’s listeners. “All of You” is not only a treat for jazz fans but a piece of musical history brought to light.
