The song was produced in Cat Cork’s home studio in Australia, but still, the band is international. The accompanying musicians are Pablo Arruda playing bass, Ben Trigg playing cello and Chris Barber and Horacio Paris playing drums. This leaves a listener with the mix of modernity and romanticism in music, and sensational added by the clean voice of Cork, who sings about optimism with a hint of sweet memories.

The music video, filmed by Milo Cawthorne and Ella Hope-Higginson, has a vintage cinematic visual, filmed with actual Super 8 film. It also gives very nice grainy black and white look to the overall song that reinforces the sense of connection and memory.

The song “Promise Me” is a meaning song about the selection and compromise in the high degree association. There is still both light and dark in the thin line between the two aforementioned emotions and Cork managing to balance between them well while crafting this smooth flipping as well as groovy and hopeful sound that stays with the listeners even after the song ends.
