Marc Miner’s “Saved My Soul” – A Gritty Western Tale of Redemption

73

With “Saved My Soul,” Marc Miner delves deep into timeless Western folklore, weaving a compelling narrative of the devil, redemption, and the eternal struggle for salvation. The song is raw, soulful, and steeped in tradition, reflecting the hardships and triumphs of the human spirit.

Miner, who wrote the track, explains: “The deep falls, the constant struggle to rise again, the relentless pursuit of becoming a better person—these themes have always fascinated me. It was clear from the start that the Brothers had to be part of this song. Their music embodies the very spirit of these stories.”

The song was recorded in a single day at the Long Beard Brothers’ studio in Styria, capturing a spontaneous and electrifying energy. Beard Chris, drummer and one of the three lead singers of the Long Beard Brothers, recalls: “We had only met Marc once before at one of our concerts, but when he suggested this collaboration, it didn’t take much convincing. The excitement was immediate.”

The result? A gripping, old-school outlaw anthem, where gritty vocals, haunting melodies, and rich instrumentation bring the song’s deeply personal and universal themes to life. “Saved My Soul” isn’t just a track—it’s a journey through struggle, resilience, and redemption, set against the backdrop of Western musical storytelling at its finest.
