Gerber reflects, “My new single, ‘Tell Me Tell Me,” explores my father’s sudden passing during the global pandemic. In April 2020, I learned my father was leaving the hospital to pass peacefully at his home in Clearwater, Florida. Empty flights, a surreal four-hour layover walking the deserted corridors of Dallas-Fort Worth airport, and there I was, at
his bedside. My siblings and I shared laughter l and tears retelling stories, going through old photos and high school yearbooks, rediscovering our father as he lay unconscious. I couldn’t help but wonder what he felt in those final moments—regrets, peace, or something never to be spoken.”
Known for the raw authenticity of his songwriting, Gerber channels his most intimate moments into music.
