Polar Mind defies climate change. The Swiss has given his heart to winter because
his calling left him no other choice. This is also the case with his music, his debut
single “Am I The One,” which combines echoes of the 1980s with modernity and is
impossible to get out of your head.
It all began three years ago. Polar Mind is part of a scientific expedition to Antarctica
and is assigned as a hermit to the Palaoa research station, where sounds from the sea
are recorded. He listens to the whales breathing and marvels when ice floes collide around the clock.
Polar Mind becomes a local celebrity in the eternal ice among the approximately
4,000 scientists stationed in Antarctica when he detects a pulsating bubble about a
kilometer below the water’s surface that emits a signal. Currently, expert teams from
different parts of the world are trying to recover the strange discovery, as they
suspect that Polar Mind may have stumbled upon a sensation. An initial sample of the
bubble shows that it consists of ammonia, methane, and hydrogen – components
that also played an important role in the early days of the earth. In the gas mixture,
small lightning bolts seem to be discharging, which allows the bubble wall to emit signal waves that appear to communicate with an as-yet unidentified force.
The attention that Polar Mind receives due to the discovery is suspicious to the
hermit. He becomes a pawn of interest and takes a break in Switzerland. Here the
song “Am I The One” is created and many more will appear in the near future.
