In their latest EP ‘The Miss Mace Mixes (432hz),’ Autorub has tried to blend soulful tracks with electronic rhythms to produce a kind of sound that would create a soothing effect to everyone who listens to it, and all the tracks are in 432hz tuning. The EP contains two songs that both signify in different tempos while indulging in a rather cheery examination of the state of American politics.
The first song by this title is a fast-paced, piano-backed track, which will instantly draw the listeners’ attention. With a happy and charming melody plus calls and whistling, the song prepares for a pleasant musical experience with well-singing voices. The catchy and melodic tune of “Miss Mace 432Hz” gives a very Beatle feel along with good drum sound which define Autorub as a musician having fine sense of tune.
Switching to the second track, “Electronic Dance Mace 432Hz,” the listener is submerged into the deep house tunes with a tempo deviation. Melodic leads predominantly feature processed vocal textures and arpeggiated synthesizers, while lead/rhythm guitars consist of angry, raw power and add density and hostility to the main theme. The track switches between música and electro-synth in a perfect combination and designs an instrumental happiness.
On both tracks, the production is tight and thick, the many layers of sound are well-arranged and mixed to a degree, so everything will sound distinguishable. Due to this passion for attention to detail and a desire to get the most from any musical part that it could, Autorub produces every note and beat of this EP in a way that is clean but musically fulfilling and altogether comfortable to the ears.
All in all, ‘The Miss Mace Mixes (432hz)’ is all encompassing music and poetry show that brings back memories with the modern twist. Even better however are the two standout tracks, Both of these tracks demonstrate why Autorub is one of the leading bands within the New York music scene and have left everyone wanting much more of this great hedonistic sound.
