Big feet releases new single Anunciação

22

NYC-based big beet presents the second single from their upcoming album, Anunciação. This cumbia / forrō mashup became a popular song in the band’s repertoire, representing a reunion of African and indigenous styles, born out of the transatlantic diaspora and reimagined centuries later in the contemporary climate of New York City. Danceable and familiar, this track takes a popular modern forrō cover and presents it in a new light as a cumbia acoustic dance focused single.

Accompanied by a music video release which features Brazilian dancers and the big beet band at one of their home venues, Ornithology jazz club. This is just the beginning in a string of new tracks coming from one of NYC’s most infectiously grooving afro-latin jazz outfits.
