Distinctively talented producers Jerz & The FatMan have created and established a war-chest of “waiting to be” career-propelling hit beats for artists known, unknown and yet to be born.
Jerz & The FatMan have worked on the 2009 Ecstatic Tour of rapper and actor, Mos Def (now known as “Yasiin Bey”); and the EA Sports™ 2010 NBA Jam Tour. They have produced music for artists such as Treach of Naughty By Nature, Cyhi da Prynce, Rahman Apollo, Whosane Pangae, EssVee, Dynasty, Niara, Panama, I-20, Anwar Supastar & Mos Def. Their music has also been on numerous blog sites.
“Jerz” Kevin May was born on September 6, 1983, in Livingston, New Jersey, USA. “The FatMan” was born Kenneth Bernard Wynn (also
affectionately known by his family and close friends as “KB”) was born on January 23, 1984, in Orange, New Jersey, USA. The duo met in 2002 at the end of their Senior Year at Clifford J. Scott High School in East Orange, New Jersey after being introduced by a mutual friend who felt they should be acquainted due to their love for music. They began creating music together in the Summer of 2004, but it was
short-lived due to Jerz’ relocation to Atlanta to attend college.
In early 2007 Jerz returned to New Jersey. Later that year, he and the FatMan both moved from Northern New Jersey to Southern New Jersey
where they set-up a studio in the home of a cousin. It was in this location they stayed up countless hours honing their craft. It was also in this place that the name “Jerz and the FatMan” began as a joke – it stuck, because it had a nice ring.
The sounds and rhythms of Jerz and the FatMan are both unique and infused with old-soul reincarnations. They design music from the
God-given reverberations that they feel and are built within their being — not music that’s forced. This duo’s musical versatility spans genres from Hip-Hop to Country & Western. Their musical capacity and latitude is limitless.
