Wyoming singer-songwriter Jason Lenyer Buchanan has released a new song called “Better Parts of Texas.” This song tells the story of a traveler’s journey through cities like Waco, Dallas, Houston, and ends in Cheyenne, Wyoming. With touching words and a moving tune, it mixes traditional country sounds with modern styles.
Jason says the song is more than just a love letter to Texas; it’s about staying true to yourself no matter where life takes you. He hopes listeners will feel the unique beauty and spirit of Texas in the song.
The song features Jason’s singing and guitar playing, with production by Joel Rousseau. Other musicians include Scott Mulvahill on bass, Jacob Schrodt on drums, Don Eanes on piano, and Nate Leath on fiddle.
“Better Parts of Texas” is part of Jason’s upcoming vinyl EP, “Under a Thumbnail Moon.” This collection shows his skill in storytelling and music, with Joel Rousseau’s production adding a polished sound.
To celebrate, Jason is planning special performances at local record stores in Wyoming, house concerts, and a surprise event with Wyoming Public Radio.
