Soulful singer Eddie Witz The Most High have now released their long-awaited first full-length album “I Am What I Am” containing powerful songs which narrate a story of strength, growth, and the roles of music in our lives. It is a healing album with the music of a famous Californian artist Eddie Witz, which tells the story of search for acceptance and growth.
‘I Am What I Am’ is an extensive study of the emotional topography of a life well-lived, of joy and sorrow in equal measure. While its groove is reggae inspired and there are some darker passages, the vocals by Witz are expressive and add the sense of light and shadow. The fifth song of the album “The One That Got Away” differs quite a lot from the previous songs as it can be attributed to the country and Americana genres; despite this, the song conveys a touching story about betrayal through Witz’s passionate voice.
