Tehui, the Ivory Coast rapper and singer, is a pioneer of Afro Hip Hop Soul, seamlessly blending rap with diverse genres like Soul, Reggae Dancehall, and Afrobeats. His journey began in the 2000s alongside French composer K?M.F, crafting a unique fusion of hip hop, soul, electro, and jazz.
Returning to Côte d’Ivoire, Tehui released his solo debut album, “Itinéraire d’Un Gars (A)Normal,” in 2017, earning recognition with the Best Urban Reggae Artist award in 2018. His groundbreaking live album, “Live From Bao Café,” marked a milestone in Ivorian rap history in April 2019.
