Heart of Pine unveils the captivating “Phetamine & Pearls” from their upcoming album

278

Athens, Georgia roots rock group Heart of Pine confirms valid anticipation of their second
full-length album with this second single release Phetamine & Pearls. This single verifies
their genre defining southedelic sound by blending elements of blues and rock. Phetamine & Pearls is a jam with soulful lead vocals, stellar lead guitar riffs, an energetic clavinet, and a bellowing horn section which is all wrapped up in a blanket of soul teasing female background vocals.

The band is a combined effort of Steven Bagwell (lead vocals and lead guitar), Travis Richardson (rhythm guitar), Boone Hood (bass), Jesse Fountain (keys), and Todd Headley (drums). Together they create a fusion of palpable influence from favorites such as the Allman Brothers Band, Waylon Jennings, and The Grateful Dead. As the band continues to evolve, this single offers existing fans another playlist favorite. Phetamine & Pearls is an uplifting track with vibrant harmonies.

Instrumentally, it is a deeper dive into HoP’s diverse ability to provide the energetic pulse that pulls the audience stage side, consuming them with sound-drenched intoxicated movement. Lyrically it’s a song about a girl who’s a hell of a lot of fun to hang out with but can’t be caught. The explosive melodies make us not only recall who she is but we also want to be her.
