Indulge in the sweetness of Ruby Nixxons’ “Midnight Candy”

429

The newest Ruby Nixxons, the bad of rock from Glasgow, single “Midnight Candy” is a blend of the 70s/80s rock styled with the modern flavor. The song was created by a band consisting of Dan Briody as the lead vocalist and bass player, Gordon Chalmers as the drummer, and Steve Mosley as the guitarist and vocalist. The band gives an incredible presence in the song right from the beginning to the end.

The song was recorded at Waterfront Studios in Falkirk, Scotland. It starts with the powerful Steve Mosley’s guitar riffs, which is packed up by brilliant drum effect. Dan Briody’s low voice and intimate lyrics reflect a lover who is sweet like a tempting candy, and so makes me want more but at the same time, her naughty habits are what ruin me.

Collectively, they have created a mild melody combined with the intense and emotionally charged vocals of Briody, which expresses the inner conflict of feeling love and a hesitance towards love at the same time. Finally, isn’t it honestly Steve Mosley’s guitar solo that does the deed that steals the show with his sensational guitar skills simply by producing noisy riffs appropriate to describe the temptation of midnight candy?

Further on, the drum beats lend rhythm, similar to the starting signal of a track. The guitar sounds add that cheerfulness and brightness. Dan who astounding the listener with his singing voices beautifies the verses about the boy who has no heed for the girl.

The whole piece would be taken to a 80s disco path at the solo guitar part which is something different and creates the proper closure of the rock piece, quite energetic as it is. Midnight Candy has become the band’s legendary creation, anthem and the song that never leaves the memory of the music admirers.

Enjoy
