Introducing “Rainy Days at Home” – A New EP Album of Soulful Covers for the Season

50

As the days grow shorter and November’s early darkness settles in, there’s a familiar comfort in the quiet sound of rain pattering against the window. It’s in these introspective moments that I’ve often found myself at my grand piano, lost in the bittersweet beauty of music that speaks to life’s true essence. Now, I’m thrilled to share that experience with the release of my new EP album, Rainy Days at Home, a collection of four tender, melancholic covers that have been my personal soundtrack on countless rainy evenings.

The EP begins with a gentle rendition of “Gramercy Park”, the iconic Alicia Keys
composition. This hauntingly beautiful song has always led me to question, Am I still the person I wanted to be? Having performed this song many times live, I now revisit it in a much quieter, intimate way, capturing the self -reflective mood of a solo rainy night.

Next comes “Be Here to Love Me” by Townes Van Zandt, a song cherished and covered by so many, including Norah Jones. It’s a tune that resonates with a deep longing for connection, something that feels especially poignant in these solitary moments.

The third track, “These Are the Days” by Ben Cullum, reminds us of the preciousness of now—of the moments we hold close, even as they pass us by. Its gentle rhythm is perfect for an evening of quiet contemplation.

Closing the EP is one of my all-time favorites by Tom Waits, “Take It With Me”. This beautifully melancholic ballad offers a timeless reminder of what really matters in life—a fitting close to this introspective journey.

Rainy Days at Home invites listeners to find warmth and reflection in the familiar songs that accompany us through life’s quiet, rain-soaked evenings. These four covers bring a deeply personal touch to cherished classics, providing the perfect soundtrack for anyone looking to embrace the beauty of the season’s quiet moments. “Rainy Days at Home” is available now on all streaming platforms.
