Jeff Vidov’s New Single “Running in Place” Challenges Fate with High-Energy Rock/Pop

Jeff Vidov, a Canadian-born composer and pianist based in Toronto, has unveiled his latest single, “Running in Place.” This energetic rock/pop track reflects Vidov’s exploration of fate and personal agency. The song was inspired by a vivid dream, Vidov rushed to his grand piano and recorded the song on a cassette player which captures its raw essence.

“Running in Place” features dynamic drumming from Argentinian musicians Lucas Seaone and Marco Toba, adding a vibrant rhythm to the track. The song stands out with its catchy rock/pop melodies and includes lyrical insights from Shakespeare, adding a literary depth to its exploration of destiny. Vidov’s unique touch is further highlighted by the inclusion of French lyrics, inspired by a moment of inspiration while driving through Montreal.

Known in Toronto as a session musician, conductor, and keyboardist, Jeff Vidov has a rich background in music. His upcoming 2CD rock/pop album, set for release in 2024, represents a significant project years in the making. With “Running in Place,” Vidov continues to showcase his talent for blending high-energy music with thoughtful lyrical content, setting the stage for a promising release.
