Jeffery Broussard & The Nighttime Syndicate releases new single “Madeline”

127

Jefferey Broussard and the Nighttime Syndicate has released their new single, “Madeline”, a hot-o-the-griddle fresh interpretation of a goldie oldie featuring TBC Brass Band veterans Edward Jackson, Paul Chéenne, and David McKissick.

“Madeline” is one of Broussard’s all-time hits, and it carries a special resonance for the zydeco frontman. Back in the day, his father played the Cajun standard with the Lawtell Playboys, who seasoned it with that unmistakable zydeco zest.
Now, Broussard is giving it a whole new flavor by bringing in the Nighttime Syndicate’s New Orleans-style horns and a sultry arrangement begging for a dance floor.

The single was recorded at Marigny Studio and mixed by Chris Butcher and is the quintessential Cajun/Creole lovechild the Nighttime Syndicate has been whipping up over the last couple years.
