Joshua Royals Unviels New Song Called “How Firm A Foundation”

715

Joshua Royals is a worship leader in a multigenerational church, he sees a great value in remembering the heritage of what came before us as he creates new music for the Lord.

While many songs come and go, there are a select few that stand the test of time and still impact people even hundreds of years later. It is his heart to find songs like these and provide a more modern approach to them so that they may continue to impact people for many generations to come.

“How Firm A Foundation” is especially important to him because thematically, it contains declarations that he had had to live out on a daily basis in recent seasons of my life. The path of a Christ follower is simply not an easy one. It requires great amount of sacrifice and a holding of two specific truths in tension:

According to Joshua, Our world is severely broken and in need of Jesus and until we can reach the other side of Heaven, we will continuously find heartache and struggle in this life. Yet, simultaneously, God is still very good within a world that is currently lacking and He has the power to carry us through our own pain and struggles.

“My hope for this song is that it would bring solace to those of you who are struggling and let you know that you are not alone. May you be encouraged to lift your eyes up once
again and remember where your help comes from”.
