Jr Atlas has just released his first single for indie label ROGUE PLANET – hip hop/pop banger titled “Wasted/ Lonely” that also features label mate and rising hip hop star ALPHA CENTAURI.
“Wasted/ Lonely” is a sad boy hip hop song disguised as a sunny summertime hit. It is a deeply introspective song about the frustration and regret of depending on alcohol to start or maintain romantic relationships – and how that can lead to a downward spiral of self-loathing and futility.
The song was recorded using a full live band and is often incorporated into ALPHA CENTAURI’s live sets when Jr. Atlas performs with him (Jr. Atlas often fills the role of ALPHA’s second emcee).
The track was produced by Wes Smith at IDIO SOUND LAВ.
Over the next year – besides performing live on tours with ALPHA CENTAURI all around North America and Europe – Jr. Atlas will be recording a huge backlog of new music with his new band aiming for a late spring of 2026 of hid debut album. An acoustic version of this track will be released in mid August. Re-mix versions of this track will be released his fall.
