La Coya Unveils A New Song Called “La Perla”

1.9k

LA COYA is from Ecuador in South America, the place on earth where the sun is closest to the equator. She always carries this glow with her in her dancing and singing. She moved away from her home country as a young immigrant when she was 18 years old because she wanted to live an adventurous and experimental life. She traveled the scenes of the towns she lived in—Lyon, New Orleans, and Paris—while defending and promoting her Latin rhythm. She collaborates closely on her debut album, “ORO,” with guitarist and Franco-Argentine producer Mathias Di Giusto, who has produced music for musicians including Maître Gims, Vitaa, MHD, Dadju Florent Pagny, and Louane.

Additionally, she won a music production competition, which enabled her to collaborate on a project with American producer Sergio George (x16 Grammy Awards: JLO, Maluma, Daddy Yankee, Marc Anthony). As a result, she set out to create an eclectic cultural and musical concoction in French and Spanish that combines traditional rhythms from many parts of Latin America, including the Pacific coast, the Amazon, and the Andes.

The Ecuadorian musician LA COYA has captivated the attention of the Latin American and European audience by bringing the Andean culture to the foot of the Eiffel Tower after entering the field with her first single “ACTITUD,” which has received 180k streams. With her brand-new song, “LA PERLA,” she embarks on a brand-new musical adventure by fusing reggaeton, French pop, and the marimba tradition to transport us to the beaches of the Ecuadorian Pacific. She expresses her thoughts at getting her French nationality, for which she worked so hard, and the freedom that this priceless pearl affords her in this multilingual song in French and Spanish.
