“I write songs that express the challenges of growing up in a world that is constantly evolving and shifting,” said Eden Cardall.
Whenever alternative singer/songwriter Eden Cardall from Las Vegas feels the highs and lows of life she pulls out her notes app to jot it down followed by a voice memo recording. She started exploring her musical abilities as a kid and it expanded in her teenage years.
“Writing music is something I do every day even if it’s just a couple of words,” she says.
Eden is the daughter of award-winning new-age pianist Paul Cardall. Growing up with mellow music she’s anxious to rock out. She fell in love with the music of Queen, Elton John, and the grungy punk sound of Paramore and Green Day. Her music describes how she feels in constant moments. She is inspired by the writing and sound of Julia Michaels, Conan Gray, and
Sabrina Carpenter. Eden’s music expresses the challenges of growing up in a world constantly evolving and shifting. She wants to put ideas and experiences out into the world through music so that when someone needs to hear personal validation and they’re not alone.
Eden said, “My single “RYAN” means to me that when you like somebody so much and they don’t have that same intention it hurts and you get sick of trying to put yourself out there and in the end it kind of blows up. The hurt you feel when someone likes another person in front of you and when they’re looking at the person they like the way you look at them. And sometimes it’s really hard to accept that things aren’t going to go the way you want them to and no matter how much you try to get something you want so bad or someone you want so bad, you gotta
accept that life sometimes isn’t going to give it to you and what you got to do for yourself is say, “Hey I’m amazing and there’s something better out there for me” and move on.”
