Gospel singer Irene Ango cries unto God in a new song called ‘Lord Hear My Cries’. She sang in both English and French. Her universe is a combination of Christian, holiday and traditional music; which is characterized by original catchy and meaningful lyrics. She creates her own piece of art and stay authentic.
The new single was influenced by the tragedy behind he Russia-Ukraine War.
‘The story behind her new single “Lord Hear My Cries” One night after listening to the news on TV, I was sad about the situation of war in
Ukraine. All these soldiers that are dying, all the people losing their homes, having to flee their homeland for insecurity not only in Ukraine but in many other places in the world. Racism, discrimination, the deliberate killing of certain people, the history of residential school in Canada and so on got me to write this song. I would like my song “Lord Hear My Cries” to reach as many listeners as possible. Sometime we just forget that we are all God’s people with the exact same color of blood “Red”. Why the killing and disparities? I pray the heaven and earth Lord to hear my cries’.
