MAL, a 24-year-old French-Danish artist, has unveiled her new track “Away With The Fairies,” a song born from a deeply personal experience. Sensitive to colors, sounds, and the emotions of others, MAL reflects on the challenges of being hypersensitive in an overwhelming world. The song was inspired by a friend’s emotional struggle and an attempt to end it all. Feeling powerless without professional knowledge, MAL turned to music, writing this song in the hope of bringing comfort and peace.
While “Away With The Fairies” may not represent MAL’s typical musical style, she believes in its importance as part of her artistic journey. The multi-talented artist, who lives between Brussels, Paris, and Copenhagen, started playing piano at age 10 and later added guitar, drums, and opera singing to her repertoire. With a passion for music, photography, and philosophy, she studied these disciplines in Denmark and Paris, giving her a broad creative perspective.
MAL’s musical tastes are wide-ranging, encompassing rock, jazz, rap, and classical music. Her insatiable curiosity and love for new life experiences are what drive her artistry. This first EP, which began taking shape during her studies in Denmark, continued evolving throughout her photography studies in Paris, blending her diverse interests into a cohesive and deeply emotional project.
