Mick J. Clark Releases “Hey Mu-Cha-Cha”—A Danceable Ode to Love, Longing, and Reunion

199

Mick J. Clark is back again with the brand new and a very catchy tune “Hey Mu-Cha-Cha”. The combination of popular Latin beats, meaningful lyrics, and good tune which are put into the song makes it impossible to resist. Abstracting itself from the dance floor, Clark’s track is as sentimental as it is dance-inspiring, and finds itself as a fusion of desire, lost connections, and a call for forgiveness.

Taking a look at “Hey Mu-Cha-Cha”, it is hard to feel anything but positive. A fast tempo orchestral opening includes staccato figures and gives the song a warm Latin jazz feel. As stir bright horn accents enter they amplify the joyful mood though adding a touch of the tropical to the whole arrangement. The song has predominately Latin rythym and in support of this, the pare drum section plays the rhythm in support of this, the pare drum section plays the rhythm in support of this rhythm section is at quite a fast tempo. On this base, looking like salsa or merengue, the song has an invariable rhythm, with a leading bass line.

As a vocalist, Clark gives what seems like an impassionate serenade on the song’s lyrics, calling for one’s lover to come back and be intimate. His vocal performance is masterful, and his tenor voice sits pleasant over the change of texture and dynamics, especially when before the chorus and immediately after, where the texture suddenly weakens before building up fiercely again.

This fun and youthful ditty “Hey Mu-Cha-Cha” retains the superficiality of a happy dance number along with underlying sentimentality of a romantic ballad. Despite the jazzy instrumental, cute clapping stamping during the verses, and literally dancing lyrics of the chorus, the song sounds quite romantic and sentimental. This latest track from Mick J. Clark is filled with positive vibes enough for the dance floor and with passion enough to tug at the heartstrings.
