Naid Shares “Bwadra” from His Ololo EP

267

Naid, a 24-year-old independent artist from Mayotte, introduces Bwadra, a vibrant track from his debut EP, Ololo. Composed by Aznar Beat, Bwadra features an energetic Afrobeat rhythm paired with lighthearted, humorous lyrics that promote self-acceptance and personal well-being. Naid believes that everyone is perfect just as they are, regardless of physical appearance.

This track echoes the vibe of his 2022 hit Gucci, which earned him the award for Best Popular Urban Song at the 2023 Kmusic Awards. Ololo consists of seven tracks, each offering a unique musical style, blending traditional Mayotte sounds with Afrobeat and Afro-pop influences.

Naid began his musical journey in 2019 and quickly gained popularity across Mayotte and Comoros. With over a million views on eight of his twelve YouTube videos, Naid has captured audiences with his catchy hooks and feel-good music. For a taste of his artistry, Naid recommends listening to Gucci or Halo Licoli, a collaboration with Mayotte’s school transport network.

Ololo showcases Naid’s creative universe, filled with messages of peace and joy. The album reflects four years of dedication to refining his unique style, which bridges traditional music and urban sounds. Naid’s passion for music and his love for culture aim to elevate Mayotte’s music on a national stage, offering a fresh connection between youth and tradition.
