Omer Leshem’s “Cape Town Swag” is a jazz journey to sunny South Africa

Omer Leshem, a New York-based jazz saxophonist and composer, has produced a colorful new tune titled “Cape Town Swag,” which was inspired by a visit to his father’s birthplace. This funky song urges listeners to close their eyes and picture themselves on a sunny beach in Cape Town, sipping fresh tropical juice.

“Cape Town Swag” is the lead single from Leshem’s planned third album, ‘Play Space’, which will be released in September on the Ubuntu label. The music is distinguished by its funky and melodious tune, which includes passionate improvisation that embodies the essence of Cape Town’s vibrant atmosphere. Short and short, “Cape Town Swag” gives a glimpse of the many cultural and musical influences that have shaped his sound.
