Riva Taylor releases her latest single, “Outside of Your Heart” . This single follows last year’s radio charting “Cubano” featuring Mexican duo LosRumberos, two performances at the Marvin Festival in 2022 and 2023, and apromotional visit to Mexico.
“Outside of Your Heart,” is a dynamic collaboration featuring British-Columbian artistLisey Tigra and co-written with long-time collaborator Craigie Dodds (Amy Winehouse.Leona Lewis, Gorillaz). The track introduces a dynamic reggaeton beat infused withsoothing melodies, while Tigra’s fiery Spanish language rap marks a striking contrastwith Taylor’s reflective tone.
The song offers reassurance in a relationship on the brink. “I’ve loved collaboratingwith Lisey on ‘Outside of Your Heart,” says Taylor. “Her sassy, fun energy brought anew dimension to the song that helped push my creative boundaries by setting a morecontemporary parameter for the album.
Riva’s highly anticipated album, “Colours of Blue,” is set to debut on June 14th, 2024and offers listeners transportation through a spectrum of emotions, from the warmth ofsummer skies to the depths of the blues.
Riva was first signed to EM ‘s Jazz label in her teenage years, and ended up crossingover into the pop world in her twenties. She grew up listening to other multi-genreartists such as Sade, Astrud Gilberto, and Santana.
