254

Dark synth-pop musician Salt Ashes recently dropped the music video for her new song “Bad Things Right” . The hitting video is by Katya Ganfeld where all the lyrical aspects including rebellion, self-image, and freedom have been breathed into a thrilling motion and style.

The video is about the liberation from the social prejudices and turning down the devil’s part assigned by society. Duly beginning from an abandoned movie theatre to a church on fire, every scene is a portrayal of uprising. Whether it’s playing cards, getting drunk in religious clothing or watching the burning of the self and all our expectations, Salt Ashes has chased the feeling of feeling of being trapped and the exhilaration of finally escaping the cage of expectations.

The primary symbol which seems to unite the video’s narrative is an image of a burning church: afraid of receiving imposed identities and judging others. In synergy with the eerie voice and eerie synths together with evident androgyny atmosphere achieved through the videoclip is in unison with the track’s dark, empowering spirit.

According to Salt Ashes, “Bad Things Right” is a song about being placed in the black hat from someone else script. The video takes this message a notch higher by providing a gritty and visually engaging commentary on liberation from blame and towards individual freedom.

Actually, everyone should see this “Bad Things Right” music video with its cinematographic perspective and wisely chosen visuals; Salt Ashes clearly demonstrates that it is possible to address dark emotions and experiences with the help of flaming colors and visually striking imagery.
