Thai-Icelandic artist Samuel Oscar has just dropped his highly anticipated new single, “Something Bout You,” available now on all major streaming platforms. With over 10 million plays on YouTube and support from Iceland’s renowned FM957, Samuel continues to blend his cultural heritage into a signature sound that captivates global audiences.

Inspired by the love stories of his friends, “Something Bout You” is a feel-good track about the excitement of falling in love and the chase that comes with it. The song evokes a nostalgic 80s R&B house vibe, reminiscent of Ghost Town DJs’ “My Boo,” while incorporating modern pop influences. Samuel used an old drum sequencer to add an authentic, retro touch that elevates the track’s infectious rhythms and melodies.

“Merging the emotional depth from my Thai heritage with the melodic pop traditions of Iceland allows me to create something unique,” says Samuel Oscar. “This song is a reflection of the joy and intensity of love, and I hope it resonates with listeners everywhere.”

Based in Iceland, Samuel Oscar’s music is influenced by artists like Frank Ocean, Charlie Puth, Ed Sheeran, and Kanye West. His previous singles, such as “Leave You,” “Dancing In The Moonlight,” and “Dance for Us,” have garnered international attention, establishing him as a rising star in the pop music scene.
