Shaky’s Debut Album Kinda Wild Lands on NACC Charts with Gritty Garage Rock Charm

241

Shaky’s first full-length album, “Kinda Wild,” has made its official mark by debuting at #117 on the NACC charts this week. Released through Shaky Records, the album is available on 12” 140G vinyl—pressed in Philadelphia—and streaming across all major platforms.

“Kinda Wild” brings together 14 raw, guitar-driven tracks featuring crooner-style vocals and a garage rock spirit that feels both nostalgic and fresh. With clear nods to 90s alt-rock, the album also includes bold covers of “I Want Candy” (Bow Wow Wow) and “Anything, Anything” (Dramarama), showcasing Shaky’s ability to honor the past while making it their own.

Two standout singles, “Quiet in the Night” and “Silent Wonder,” come with visually striking music videos directed by Joe Lee, known for his work with The Happy Fits, Vance Joy, and Cold Fronts. Both videos are now streaming on the official Shaky Records YouTube channel.

Radio promotion for the album is being powered by Pirate!, a well-known marketing agency with offices in Boston and New York.

Critics are already taking note. Ron Hart of SPIN writes, “Like a wild combination of Dinosaur Jr. and The Cars, Shaky delivers an undeniably catchy single with ‘Still Smokin’.”

If you’re into guitar-heavy, emotionally vibrant rock with a retro edge, “Kinda Wild” is one to check out.
