London-based New York-born electronic pop singer-songwriter Sofi Vonn is set to release her
new single “VOGUE,” written by Sofi and produced by Jack Ducker (Saint Joshua, Darco Recordings) on November 22nd.
Sofi’s recent singles “Tired” and “With You” received spins from BBC introducing and BBC
Radio 6, with “Tired” also being included on BBC Orbit. Her 2024 single, “Contagious,” was featured in Rolling Stone Spain as one of “20 Artists and Songs You Should Know,” and received support from Spotify, landing on “Thailand’s Viral Hits” editorial playlist. “Losing
Control” – a TOP FIVE on the UK Dance Chart – was on rotation on MTV for a consecutive 8 weeks. “Rumors”, which premiered with CelebMix, was featured on Revolve’s and TJ Maxx’s TikTok. Sofi’s 2022 single “Famous” was featured on McDonalds UK’s TikTok, and followed the success of her remix EP for “Famous,” which peaked at #6 on the Music Week Commercial Pop Chart.
Inspired by Charli XCX’s Brat, VOGUE is a cleverly written dance pop anthem. With intentional auto-tuning, the song pokes fun at the notion of amounting your success to what publications you’ve been featured in, despite already having a huge digital footprint. Sofi says, “As an independent artist, it can be hard not to compare yourselves to others when you have so much access to their growth online.
VOGUE was written to remind myself that although I haven’t been featured in a publication such as Vogue, you’ll still find many articles about my achievements on the internet.”
