St. Wave Unveils Groundbreaking Album “Wavelength”

233

St. Wave’s new album, “Wavelength”, is a unique effort in beginning alternative hip-hop. Featuring nine tracks, it offers fans an intimate and slightly vulnerable listen both emotionally and with the timbre of songs. The album starts as any other complex piece should, in the beginning, there we have “Wavelength Intro” which is intriguing as it comes with melodies and strange beats which fit the body of the album. It’s attention-seeking and makes you want to listen to the rest of the songs on the album.

The song ‘Bandwidth ‘ is really a standout on the album. It’s got deep lyrics with laid-back and chill flows and instrumentals and it’s definitely in the same vein as Kid Cudi, Mac Miller or Lil Peep but with that added flare. Another worthy of mention is “Current Sea” where St.Wave describes the pursuit of wealth. It comes to the element of production, and specially the use of the female vocals which give the song a very deep dimension.

“Crib Talk” is melancholic driven all through, sometimes pieced together with background vocals to give it that sulky feel. The song “Mirage” with Tony E, is another good song in which St. Wave proves to be a good narrator as well. The beats are in one piece and the production doesn’t feel stagnant at any point throughout the entire album. When it comes to the sound, I think that every song adds some new perspective while still belonging to the same group.

The last song on the album is “Planet Dirty” where St. Wave shines for he’s able to sing as well as rap throughout the song. It is an authoritative conclusion of a good and balanced work for a project.

Wavelength is a message of unity and developing one’s individuality. St. Wave’s sincerity and innovation cannot be hidden, so listening to this album can only be inspiring for those who have not heard it.
