Tally Koren has released a her wonderful EP called “Downtempo Experience”
“Downtempo Experience” gives a wonderful mix of seven tracks from Tally Koren as well as correct covers, among whom there is the song “What Was I Made For?”, and the “Sweetest Smile” of the 80s. “What a collection Koren has created! Her voice is ethereal, gliding naturally above the soundscapes allowing an impression of big dimensions, making this a spectacular listening to.”
The EP begins with “Beside Me” song that with calming drumbeat and relax tempo that is evocative of a mystical state. The second track is “Wake My Child” a dance remix by award-winning UK electronic producer Nick Woolfson, with its introspective mood accompanying Tally’s soulful performance.
“1000 Stars” with the outstanding production by Yoad Nevo, whose list of achievements includes working with Pet Shop Boys and Goldfrapp, is a remarkable track on the album. In “1000 Stars” Tally talked about how she needs her partner around her and she has been thinking about him and how she needs him.
Another best of it, “Let It Shine” evokes the depth and that’s the last song on the EP, it also has an acoustic guitar that backed Koren’s vocals throughout.
Throughout the EP, the slow-paced production puts Koren’s angelic vocals on front, which then creates a peaceful sound to relax. A blend of timeless melodies with modern electronic production technique brings about the resonant and captivating music that forms the soulful musical journey.
‘The Downtempo Experience’ is really Tally Koren’s milestone in her career offering quite a different soundtrack for any kind of mood especially for deep relaxation and a deep dive into her signature mixture of old school and fresh versions of retro sounds.
