The Downcast Release new single Let Me Down

8

Toronto-based pop-punk band The Downcast has released Let Me Down, a fun, fast-paced song that serves as the first single from their upcoming EP You Again?, to be released in early 2026.

Let Me Down combines the punk energy of early Blink-182 with the heavy guitar riff stylings of Four Year Strong, resulting in a track that sounds simultaneously fresh and familiar. The song was produced and mixed by Ryan Fitz (ex-Bearings, Arm’s Length touring), and is sure to have you singing along to its catchy melodies in no time.

“Let Me Down is about the unrequited love of that fling from your hometown between college semesters”, says vocalist and guitarist Matthew Rennie. “We released it just in time for you to go back to school with a heavy heart.
Or back to work with the nostalgia of what that felt like.”
